Tip leads to arrest of Alabama man who police say possessed child pornography

An Alabama man was charged this week after a tip led them to believe he was transmitting images that contained child pornography, investigators said.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division received an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Cyber Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating that a subject identified Mark John Robert White, 24, located in Madison County, Alabama, had been sending and receiving images that possibly contained child pornography images.

On May 24th, 2023, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, with the assistance of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security investigators, ALEA State Bureau of Investigation, Huntsville Police Department, and Limestone County Sheriff’s Department executed multiple search warrants in Madison and Limestone Counties.

During the searches, various images of child pornography were located, and numerous electronic devices were seized.

Mark John Robert White was arrested and charged with 10 counts of Possession with Intent to Disseminate Child Pornography by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

His bond has been set at $100,000. MCSO detectives are still investigating cases and additional arrests are expected.
