Tuesday will bring some more rain chances, especially in northern and central Alabama. Although a few storms are possible, the main event is expected on Wednesday.

A Level 2 risk covers most of the state for Wednesday with a Level 3 covering parts of western south Alabama.

From the National Weather Service:

“Severe storms are possible Wednesday, mainly from mid-morning through the evening hours. Damaging wind gusts, large hail and tornadoes are possible. A strong tornado (EF2+) cannot be ruled out in the enhanced risk area. Locally heavy rainfall is possible, and a Flash Flood Watch may become necessary. Know your safe place if you need it. Don’t let nighttime storms surprise you! Have a plan, know what to do when warnings are issued, and ensure your weather radio works properly. Have multiple ways to receive warnings including one that will wake you up at night.”
