That severe weather threat we mentioned for our neighbors in Mississippi has expanded into Alabama as expected.

According to the Storm Prediction Center, areas in western Alabama from north-central communities to the Gulf Coast are under a Level 1 risk. Tornadoes and damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour are possible Monday night into Tuesday. The risk could change by Monday night, so we’ll keep watching forecasts and models.

Once the system moves through Tuesday, the rest of the week is looking like it will be sunny with warming temperatures.
