Alabama Skies: Rain ending as we look towards more powerful weather system approaching

Published 11:35 pm Friday, March 22, 2024

Rain will end early Saturday morning across the state with sunshine returning for some of us. Highs will range from the 50s in the north to 70s in the south. Saturday afternoon will probably end up a nice beach day along the coast but be careful! There is a high risk of rip currents.

Sunday will be our nicest day of the weekend.

Our next weather system will arrive Monday evening. Models are showing this front to be stronger than the one that came through Friday. We’re keeping an eye on just how strong this front will be when it comes through Alabama. Mississippi is already under a Level 2 risk for severe weather. We’re not included in the severe weather outlook right now, but that could change. Or, storms could weaken before they arrive. We’ll know more details by Sunday.

North Alabama

Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a remaining shower, then becoming sunny through the day. High of 59 with wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour. Clear Saturday night with a low of 36 and breezy.

Central Alabama

South Alabama

Gulf Coast
