An Alabama man was killed Thursday when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle veered off the road, flipped over and struck a tree, state troopers said.

Alabama state troopers said Richard M. Hines, 65, of Grand Bay died from injuries he received at approximately noon on Thursday when his 2021 Harley-Davidson left Canaan Road East near Alabama 59, overturned and struck a tree.

Hines was transported to North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette. He was pronounced dead there later in the day, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
