Alabama county jail worker charged with drug trafficking, possession

An Alabama county jail worker was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession, the local sheriff’s office reported.

Deborah Terrell, 42, of Decatur, was charged with drug trafficking and possession of drugs and marijuana. At the time Terrell was working at the Morgan County Jail, sheriff deputies said.

She no longer works there, the sheriff’s office reported.

Also arrested as part of the narcotics investigation seeking the source of jail contraband was Lester Bufkin, 44, of Decatur.

Both were released on $11,300 bonds.
