An Alabama man who was reported street racing was killed Sunday morning, officials said.

Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the man was identified as George Edward Bishop III, 22, of Tuscaloosa.

Bishop was killed in an accident on Interstate 59-Interstate 20 near Fairfield.

Bishop apparently lost control of the Genesis G70 he was driving and struck a concrete barrier. That impact caused his vehicle to flip over and strike a Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver of the Tahoe, Leamon K. Sullivan, 31, of Vestavia Hills, was injured in the collision.
