First responders were searching an Alabama lake Saturday for a person who they believe may have fallen in and drowned.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported Saturday that its officers were aiding in the search after they believe a person fell into Neely Henry Lake in Ohatchee in Calhoun County.

The marine-related incident was reported at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Exactly what happened to cause the search was not immediately released by authorities, only that someone may have fallen into the lake.

The search continues with the assistance from the Ohatchee Police Department, Southside Fire Department, and Rainbow City Fire Department who have all been assisting since the operation began.
