We’ll have one more last day of sunny weather across the state Thursday, but a stretch of stormy days is coming.

Most of us will be mostly sunny all day Thursday, but we’ll have some signals of stormy weather. Wind gusts can be as strong as 20 miles per hour and we’ll be quite warm and humid.

Showers will become likely in northern and central Alabama Thursday night with showers possible in southern counties. Then, storms become likely on Friday with severe storms, hail, and strong winds possible for the northern two-thirds of the state.

Besides the severe risk, flash flooding is also possible as several inches of rain are possible over the next few days.

Along the coast, rip currents are a moderate risk over next several days beginning Friday.
