An Alabama man accused of murder allegedly used a hammer to kill his victim, but not before sexually abusing the man while he was still alive, a TV station reported Tuesday.

Kyle Lewter is charged with the murder and sexual torture of Derek Walls, of Harvest, Alabama.

WHNT-TV reported Thursday that court documents show that investigators believe Lewter used a hammer to kill Walls.

And that Lewter used an inanimate object to sexually torture Walls while he was alive.

Law enforcement officers were called to a residence in Harvest on March 6 where they found a dead body later identified as Walls.

Investigators said the pair of men were acquainted and that a fight started between the two, a fight that apparently turned deadly.
