An Alabama man was killed Monday when his vehicle crashed while he was pursued by police.

William Earl Durham, 51, of Daleville, was killed Monday night in Geneva County, state police said.

Troopers said the wreck happened at 7:20 p.m. on Alabama 123 in Geneva County.

Durham died while being chased by Daleville police officers.

Police have not said why Durham was being chased or what led to the wreck. State troopers are investigating the matter.
