An Alabama state prison warden and his wife were arrested Friday on drug charges, state officials said.

Chadwick Crabtree, warden of the Limestone Correctional Facility, along with his wife Melissa Crabtree were arrested after warrants were executed at their residence.

Both were charged with marijuana possession, possession of a controlled substance, manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

His office at the correctional facility was also searched.

Officials said he was placed on leave without pay.
