An Alabama man was killed early Sunday morning when his vehicle crashed, sheriff’s deputies said.

The single-vehicle accident happened at approximately 4:50 a.m. Sunday on Hurd Shoals Road, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported.

The driver, listed only as an adult, male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies said the sheriff’s office’s traffic accident reconstruction team was investigating the accident to determine the cause.
