Possible human remains have been found in Alabama’s Talladega County near the border with Clay County.

According to the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office, a hunter reported a “suspicious campsite” in a wooded area off Alabama 148 around 3:30 pm. Wednesday, al.com reported. Deputies responded and found possible human remains about an hour later.

The Talladega County Coroner Shaddix Murphy recovered the remains, which will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for identification and to determine the cause of death.
