Two people found dead at a residence Thursday appeared to be a murder-suicide, Alabama police said.

Police in Chickasaw, Alabama, were called early Thursday to a residence on Ryan Street to a report that two people had been shot.

Chickasaw police asked for assistance from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives found two people dead on the scene, both of gunshot wounds to the head, investigators said.

The deceased were identified as Tracus Wiggins, 27, and his girlfriend, Hayley Sharpe, 25.

Sharpe was found inside her vehicle, investigators said, and Wiggins was found on the floor of the carport of the residence.

Investigators said the deaths appear to have been a murder-suicide, but the final determination was pending toxicology and autopsy reports.
