Alabama woman killed when car strikes rock embankment, flips over

An Alabama woman was killed this week after her vehicle struck a rock embankment, then flipped over, state troopers said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, and claimed the life of a Section woman.
Belinda D. Ryan, 61, was critically injured when the 2007 Acura MDX she was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch, a rock embankment and overturned.
Ryan was not using a seat belt at the time of crash, state troopers said.
Ryan was injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. On Wednesday, June 4, Ryan succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased while at the hospital.
The crash occurred on Alabama 35 near Jackson County 67, approximately two miles south of Scottsboro, in Jackson County.
