Alabama man killed when truck strikes culvert, then several trees, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Sunday when his pickup truck left the road, struck a culvert and then several trees, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 10:02 a.m. Sunday, and claimed the life of a Coffee Springs, Alabama, man.

William Earl Hyde Jr., 70, was fatally injured when the 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert and several trees before overturning.

The crash occurred on Alabama 27 near the 15 mile marker, approximately two miles south of Chancellor, in Geneva County.
