ATV flips over in curve, killing Alabama man, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Saturday night when the ATV he was operating flipped over throwing him from the vehicle.
The single-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of a Russellville, Alabama, man.
Joarthur C. McDonald, 37, was fatally injured when the Polaris Explorer he was operating overturned while negotiating a curve. McDonald was thrown from the ATV and transported to Russellville Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Colby B. Hamm, 23, of Russellville, who was a passenger of the ATV, was injured when thrown from the ATV. Hamm was also transported to Russellville Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Franklin 78 near McCulough Road, approximately five miles east of Russellville in Franklin County.
