Alabama law enforcement officials were searching Tuesday for two children originally reported missing, but now investigators believe the older child abducted the younger one, state officials say.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency investigators and officers with the Montgomery police initially issued a missing child alert for two children, a 5-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl.

But now investigators say they believe the girl, Janayizha Qunterrica Gunn, 13, may have abducted Kaiden Tymari Perryman, 5, and investigators updated the alert to be an Amber Alert.

Police are also searching for a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, white in color, with license plate 6357BL5. Investigators have not publicly said how the car is connected with the two children.

If you see these children or have information on their whereabouts, please call 911 and report it.
