Alabama Skies: There’s a chance for some severe weather in Alabama

Although we’re not expecting a widespread severe weather event, we now have a slight chance for some rough weather.

According to the Storm Prediction Center, the northern region of Alabama could have a strong to severe storm Wednesday. Cities inside the risk zone include Florence, Decatur, and Huntsville, mainly late morning into the afternoon.

In the meantime, Tuesday will be partly sunny statewide with gusty winds.

North Alabama

Partly sunny and windy with a high of 82. Becoming mostly cloudy Tuesday night with a chance of rain and thunderstorms. Low of 64.

Central Alabama

Partly sunny with a high of 81. Mostly cloudy overnight with a low of 62.

South Alabama

Partly sunny with a high of 83. Overnight, mostly cloudy with a low of 60.

Gulf Coast

Partly sunny with a high of 79. Windy with gusts up to 20 miles per hour possible. Mostly cloudy Tuesday night with a low of 63.
