Alabama man killed when his truck veers off road, strikes tree, state troopers report

An Alabama man was killed Tuesday night when his pickup truck struck a tree, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 8 p.m. Tuesday, and claimed the life of an Addison, Alabama, man.

William D. Butler, 62, was fatally injured when the 1996 Toyota Tacoma he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.

Butler was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Winston County 80 near Winston County 39, approximately 4 miles North of Addison, in Winston County.
