The body of an Alabama man was pulled from a creek Wednesday night after the boat he was on struck a bridge pillar, authorities said.

Eufaula police said the body of Will Anthony Newman, 65, of Dothan, Alabama, was found at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday after hours of searching.

Newmand and two other men were on a boat in the Cheneyhatchee Creek Wednesday afternoon when the boat struck a bridge pillar throwing Newman into the waters of Lake Eufaula.
