An Alabama boy died after the ATV he was operating was involved in a wreck, the local police chief reported.

The driver, a juvenile male, was taken to Dekalb Regional Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after a collision between his ATV and a vehicle in the 3100 block of Wallace Avenue NE, also known as Alabama 35, said Fort Wayne Police Chief David Davis.

The juvenile died from his injuries later in the day, Davis said.

The accident happened at approximately 4:08 p.m. and it remains under investigation, Davis said.
