Although most of the state will be sunny and warm Wednesday, northern Alabama will become cloudy with some gusty winds. This signals the arrival of our next storm system.

Some of us could get a heavy shower or two Thursday and Thursday night, but this system will move through much faster than the previous few fronts, and not everyone will receive rain this time around.

Our best chances for rain will be in northern and central Alabama Thursday afternoon into Thursday night.

North Alabama

Increasing clouds with a high of 68. Breezy with wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Partly cloudy Wednesday night with a low of 49. Wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour possible.

Central Alabama

Sunny with a high of 66. Overnight, partly cloudy with a low of 48.

South Alabama

Frost early. Sunny with a high of 70. Partly cloudy overnight with a low of 45.

Gulf Coast

Sunny with a high around 71. Breezy in the afternoon. Mostly clear Wednesday night with a low of 50.
