Where people in Tuscaloosa are looking to buy homes

The median listing price in Tuscaloosa was $298,575 in December 2023, a 2.4% change from the year before. Record-high mortgage rates are keeping homes largely unaffordable for most buyers. Even a percentage point increase can increase a monthly mortgage payment by more than $100.
