It’s hard to believe that this time last week, we were dealing with sub-zero wind chills in the north and single digit wind chills on the Gulf Coast. Although we finally thawed out, we’re dealing with a different kind of dangerous weather Wednesday, especially for people on the roads.
We’re expecting at least a couple inches of rain in parts of the state Wednesday with heavy rain possible everywhere. We could have a storm or two, but the main risk is flash flooding. As more rain comes over the next few days, we could begin to have some problems with creeks and rivers, too.
Besides the heavy rain, we could have wind gusts up to 25 or 30 miles per hour.
