Winter weather blanketing portions of north Alabama have caused multiple vehicle crashes on Interstate 65, Alabama state troopers report, causing sections of the Interstate to be closed.

Alabama state troopers said multi-vehicle crashes on Monday afternoon have caused road blockage due to icy roadways.

All lanes on Interstate 65 near the 310 mile marker, in Cullman County is currently closed and will be for an undetermined amount of time.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
