Alabama pedestrian struck, killed by car, then RV, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Saturday after he was struck by a car, then an RV as he was standing in an Alabama highway, state troopers said.
The two-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of a Tallassee, Alabama, man.
Sedrick D. Brooks, 52, the pedestrian, who was standing in the roadway, was fatally injured when he was struck by the 2020 Kia Optima driven by Henry L. Stewart, 62, of Notasulga.
After the initial impact, the Kia then struck the 1993 Allegro Bay Recreational Vehicle (RV), which was sitting stationary in the roadway at the time of collision. Brooks was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Retha A. Riley, 57, of Notasulga, and Aurthur L. Holley, 55, also of Notasulga, were both passengers in the Kia, were injured and transported to Baptist Medical Center South, in Montgomery for treatment. The crash occurred on Macon County 56 near Cleghorn Drive, approximately 1 mile north of Franklin, in Macon County.
