An Alabama man was killed when his car ran off the road and struck a culvert on New Year’s Eve, state troopers said.

Trasey L. Johnson, 54, of Pine Apple, Alabama, was pronounced dead at the scene on Alabama 21 shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, approximately 10 miles east of Camden, state police said.

Investigators said Johnson was driving a 2022 Lexus GX460 and was apparently not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
