Alabama truck driver killed when his rig strikes parked car, then building before catching fire

An Alabama truck driver was killed Wednesday when he lost control of his truck and struck a parked vehicle and then a building before his truck caught fire, state troopers said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, and claimed the life of an Abbeville man.
Kevin T. Guilford, 39, was fatally injured when the 2018 Volvo tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway struck a parked commercial vehicle and then a building before catching on fire and becoming engulfed in flames.
Guilford was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 80 near the 119 mile marker, approximately 5 miles west of Montgomery, in Lowndes County.
