An Alabama man was killed Saturday in a one-vehicle crash, police said.

The accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Bessemer Super Highway, police said.

Investigators believe Bartholomew Dexter Jones, 52, of Bessemer, Alabama, was killed when his car lost control and crahsed.

He was ejected from the vehicle, investigators say, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
