An Alabama sheriff’s office was seeking the public’s help on Christmas Eve to locate a man who went missing and is in danger.

Chilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies said they’re seeking information on the whereabouts of Mark Lawson.

Lawson was described as being approximately 6 foot, 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 250 pounds.

He was last seen in the 1400 block of County Road 232 in Chilton County.

Investigators said Lawson was originally from Georgia with no known connections to Chilton County. According to his family, Lawson is dealing with mental health issues and has expressed intentions of harming himself.

Deputies ask anyone who spots someone matching Lawson’s description, to take note of any relevant details such as his appearance or behavior and contact investigators at 205-755-2511.

Lawson was last seen wearing light-colored blue jeans and a blue jacket with red and white stripes on the sleeves, deputies said. The photograph of him was taken from a trailer camera and believed to be Lawson.
