93-year-old Alabama man killed, three others injured in head-on collision, troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Saturday night when the car in which he was a passenger collided head-on with another vehicle, state troopers said.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of a Dothan, Alabama, man.

Milan W. Marler, 93, was critically injured when the 2018 Toyota 4Runner, he was a passenger in, collided head-on with the 2000 GMC C1500 pickup driven by Harvey D. Burch Jr., 65, of Gordon.

Marler was transported to Southeast Health in Dothan, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the 4Runner, Rita M. Watford, 68, of Dothan and Randy E. Watford, 64, also of Dothan were both injured and transported to Southeast Health for medical treatment.

Burch was also injured and transported to Southeast Health as well.

The crash occurred on Alabama 53 near the 15 mile marker, approximately 1 mile south of Dothan, in Houston County.
