An Alabama 8-year-old girl was killed Wednesday after she was struck by a vehicle at a mobile home park, deputies said.

Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the 6000 block of Spring Drive in Cottondale at approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The girl, who was not identified by authorities, was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but she later died from her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was questioned by police, but it was unclear if charges have been filed. The driver was not suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, deputies said.
