A 10-year-old Alabama child was shot Monday night in a residence, police said.

Tarrant police were called at approximately 8:09 p.m. to a home in the 1400 block of Wharton Avenue where a juvenile was shot.

Police said the child was taken to Children’s Hospital with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators said they believe the shooting was accidental.
