Alabama man killed after his car struck a tree, state troopers report

An Alabama man was killed Thursday night after his car left the road and struck a tree, state troopers said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. Thursday, and claimed the life of a Letohatchee, Alabama, man.
Kent Q. McWilliams, 37, was fatally injured when the 2007 Toyota Camry he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
McWilliams was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 21 near the 106 mile marker, approximately 14 miles south of Hayneville, in Lowndes County.
