An Alabama man was killed late Saturday in a single-vehicle accident, a coroner’s office reported.

Officials with the Jefferson County Coroner’s office said the victim was identified as Kalvin Knight, 66, of Birmingham, Alabama.

The coroner said the accident occurred at 11:29 p.m. Saturday on 28th Avenue North. Exactly what occurred in the crash were not immediately released.

The victim was transported to UAB hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
