One dead, one injured in shooting, Alabama sheriff says; one suspect in custody, another sought

A shooting Saturday night has left one person dead, another injured one of two suspected shooters arrested, an Alabama sheriff said.

Covington County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Andalusia Health at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday after two men were brought in with gunshot wounds, Sheriff Blake Turman said.

One victim, identified as Cammeon Franklin, 19, was transported to Sacred Heart hospital in Pensacola, Flordia, where he died of his injuries.

A second victim was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Sheriff Turman said Ahmad Jzikelle Elliot-Warmack has been charged with murder and attempted murder.
A second suspect, identified as Emmett Sigers is still be sought on charges of murder and attempted murder.

Warmack was being held without bond.

Sheriff Turman said the case in still under investigation and additional charges may be pending.
