Alabama Skies: Soggy weather covered the state for several days. How much longer will it last?

We’ve had plenty of mist, rain, and fog for Christmas shopping and traveling for football games the past couple of days.

Sunday looks like it’s going to be mostly cloudy for most of us, at least in the morning, with some sunshine peeking out, especially upstate.

Temperatures remain above average with daytime highs ranging from the lower 60s to right at 70. Nights will be cool.

As far as the rain goes, we could have a few stray showers in the southern part of the state Sunday, but nothing like most of us have had the past couple of days.

North Alabama

Mostly cloudy, then becoming sunny with a high of 63. Mostly clear Sunday night with a low of 43.

Central Alabama

Partly sunny with a high of 65. Becoming mostly cloudy overnight with a low of 46.

South Alabama

Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a stray shower in the morning. High of 67. Mostly cloudy Sunday night with a low of 47.

Gulf Coast

Cloudy with a slight chance of an isolated shower before noon. High of 71. Mostly cloudy overnight with a low of 51.
