Alabama Skies: Stormy, warm weather replacing our dry, cold pattern

Make sure those Christmas decorations are tied down well because we’re in for some major changes as a storm system approaches.
We’ll go from dry, cold weather to stormy, warm weather Thursday night with rain chances lasting several days. We’ll also have windy conditions with gusts up to 20 miles per hour possible across the state.
Southern Mississippi is under a severe risk Thursday night into Friday morning. Alabama isn’t included in the risk, but that could change. We’ll be keeping an eye on information from the Storm Prediction Center.
North Alabama
Becoming cloudy with a high of 60. Thursday night, showers with a low of 44. Wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour possible.
Central Alabama
Increasing cloudy with a high near 59. A few showers in the evening, then showers likely with storms possible overnight. Low of 46.
South Alabama
Mostly sunny with a high of 61. Showers likely overnight with a low of 45.
Gulf Coast
Mostly cloudy with a high of 65. A few showers in the evening, then showers likely overnight with a few storms possible. Wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour possible. Low of 55.
