Woman killed when car leaves the road, strikes tree and bursts into flames, Alabama troopers say

A woman was killed early Friday when her car struck a tree and burst into flames, Alabama state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:06 a.m. Friday, and claimed the life of a Bonifay, Florida, woman.

Amber N. Carnley, 28, was fatally injured when the 2011 Nissan Maxima she was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and caught on fire.

Carnley was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Geneva County 45, approximately two miles west of Hartford, in Geneva County.
