Sunday is a day of some big changes across the state. Rain is likely for most areas with mostly cloudy skies most of the day. We’ll have some gusty winds along with some cool temperatures. This is leading up to some of the coldest temps we’ve seen since last winter.

Just how cold is it going to get? Wind chills will dip into the teens Monday night for northern Alabama and then all the way down to 13 degrees Tuesday night! We’ll have either real feel or actual temperatures below freezing for several places, especially Tuesday night, so it’s time to remember the four Ps of protection during freezing weather: People, pets, plants, and pipes.

North Alabama

Rain likely, especially before mid-afternoon. Cloudy with a high near 55. Wind gusts up to 15 miles per hour. Becoming partly cloudy Sunday night with a low of 36.

Central Alabama

Mostly cloudy with some showers around. High of 58. Mostly cloudy overnight with a low of 37.

South Alabama

Mostly cloudy with rain likely midday. High of 61. Sunday night, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower. Low of 40.

Gulf Coast

Cloudy with showers likely. High of 64. Mostly cloudy overnight with a low of 45.
