An Alabama teen was killed early Thanksgiving morning when his pickup truck veered off the road, struck a fence and then hit an embankment, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash happened at approximately 2:30 a.m. Thursday, on Marengo County 21, approximately 8 miles south of Demopolis.

Troopers said Colten B. Moore, 19, of Demopolis, Alabama, was killed in the wreck when his Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck left the road, struck a fence, then an embankment.

Troopers said Moore was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
