An 18-year-old Alabama college football player has been suspended after campus police charged him with possession of marijuana, Troy University officials said.
Freshman Timothy Roberson was arrested by campus police and booked into the Pike County Jail Wednesday night on a second-degree possession of marijuana charged, jail records show.
Jail records show he was released on a $1,000 bond a short time after his arrest.
“We’re aware of the situation, and Tim Roberson has been suspended from the program indefinitely pending the outcome of the investigation,” Troy University officials told WHNT-TV.
