State law enforcement officials said Wednesday they are working a death investigation in the City of Selma.
Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation confirmed to WSFA-TV that the investigation began at approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday morning after their help was requested by the Selma Police Department.
Their investigation closed part of the U.S. 80 bypass early Wednesday.
The exact circumstance of the investigation were not immediately clear.
Nor was it clear if the investigation was in connection with an ongoing search for capital murder suspect Tramaine C. Walter who was accused of killing a woman on November 12 in front of the victim’s own children. He was considered “armed and dangerous” police said when the search was initially announced.
