An Alabama man was killed early Sunday when his SUV struck a culvert and flipped over, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. Sunday, and claimed the life of an Andalusia man.

Trevor D. Clark, 26, was fatally injured when the 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser he was driving left the roadway struck a culvert and overturned.

Clark was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on U.S. 29 near the 56 mile marker, approximately 9 miles north of Andalusia, in Covington County.
