An Alabama man and woman were killed Monday after losing control on their vehicle causing it to flip over several times. Police said the pair were fleeing from another crash when they wrecked.

Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said Jeremy Shane Waldrop, 46, and Rebecca LeeAnn Poe, 43, both of Pell City, were killed in the crash that occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Monday on Interstate 59 in Trussville.

The pair reportedly had collided with another vehicle on Interstate 459 and left the scene of the accident before they lost control on Interstate 59. Both Poe and Waldrop were pronounced dead at the scene.
