An Alabama man was killed Saturday night as he was struck while walking across Interstate 65, authorities said.

The 62-year-old man, who was not immediately identified, was struck by a vehicle as he walked across Interstate 65 near Airport Boulevard in Mobile at approximately 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver was determined not to be impaired, police said, and the driver stayed on the scene.
