An Alabama mother has been arrested after her infant was found with cocaine in its system.

WSFA-TV reported that Millbrook police arrested Miram Abram, 30, of Millbrook, and charged here with chemical endangerment of her infant.

Police said the infant was tested just after being born after the mother was suspected of being under the influence of something just prior to birth.

The TV station reported that Abram had been arrested in December 2020 on charges of chemical endangerment of a child under a similar situation. She was wanted on felony charges after failing to appear for a court appearance in that case.

She was arrested on October 23 after being discharged from the hospital after the most recent birth.
