Two Alabama drivers were killed early Thursday morning when the vehicles they were driving collided head-on with one another, state troopers said.

Dana Freeman, 55, of Demopolis, Alabama, and Joseph Lunceford, 44, of Northport, were pronounced dead after their vehicles collided on U.S. 43 in Greene County.

The accident occurred just before 7 a.m., troopers said. The accident remains under investigation.
